i loved you before i understood what love meant.
before language caught up to feeling, before time gave it edges.

you were a presence i couldn’t explain. a softness in the air. a pull in my chest when nothing was there to hold.

when i finally met you, it felt less like discovery and more like recognition. like stepping into a memory i had been rehearsing my whole life.

isn’t it strange? how the heart can prepare for someone it has never seen.
