Sanctuary of Silk and Shadows of Sharks:
Seraphina locked the back door securely, her movements swift and practiced. She turned to Raven and Haven, her expression now a mixture of concern and a strange knowingness. “You saw them,” she said, her voice low. “The noctis carcharodon gang… the infamous shark gang… homeless sea monsters, wanders rampaging the seas.”
Raven and Haven exchanged bewildered glances. “The what?” Raven asked, still trembling.
“A shark gang… without a home?” Seraphina mused, more to herself than the girls.
“Homeless sharks?” Haven muttered, a disbelieving edge to her voice. “Wandering the seas…”
Raven’s eyes widened as the realization struck her. “We’re in their home,” she exclaimed, a note of unease creeping into her tone.
Seraphina sighed, running a hand through her dark, flowing hair. “Around here… we have our legends. Whispers say that a feud between the Terror🖤Gang and the Éclat Forty 🩰💕🧸 long ago cursed this coast and the noctis carcharodon.”
Haven interjected, her voice small. “You mean… the Éclat Forty did this?”
Seraphina nodded, her gaze distant. “Their magic warped the sharks, yes, infusing them with a thirst not just for blood, but for life force itself. They became creatures of the night, drawn to fear and the vibrant energy of the living, like a twisted parody of a school of fish, yet each a predator of immense power.”
Haven clutched Sam tighter. “Cursed sharks? You’re serious?”
Seraphina nodded solemnly. “The red eyes… the unnatural speed and size… that’s how you know. They are not natural predators. They are something… more. They say they only hunt under the cloak of darkness, their power waning with the rising sun. But tonight… the moon is full. Their power will be at its peak.”
She gestured towards the discarded clothes outside. “As for those… sometimes… their belongings are left behind. The Thousand Petaled logo… it’s been found near other… incidents.” A shadow crossed her face. “This coast has its secrets, girls. Dark secrets.”
“So, it’s not just a random shark attack?” Raven asked, her initial fear solidifying into a chilling understanding.
“Oh no,” Seraphina confirmed. “The noctis carcharodon… gang… they remember. They learn. And they will likely be back.” She glanced towards the front windows, as if she could see the monstrous creatures lurking just beyond the boardwalk lights. “We need to wait until dawn. By then, their strength should diminish enough for them to retreat into the deeper ocean.”
